Okay, if you are like me, I don’t mind saying my age. I actually like saying I am 43 and having people say, nah… not a day past 39. But my weight, well, that is another story all together. I have found, in recent years, my weight weighs on me. Ha ha ha.
I try to exercise, buy organic, be health conscious, take my vitamins, ‘just say no’ to extra desserts, blah, blah, blah. Lately, this has not been enough and I am forced to go back to what has worked in the past – either Weight Watchers for what feels like the hundredth time or the 17 Day Diet. I chose the 17 Day Diet as it is more of a dietary reset than a diet. It focuses your attention on eating veggies and lean meats, with a bit of fruit, yogurt and healthy fats. We all need this in our lives so here I go – time to RESET my dietary habits, once again. My goal – 13 lbs. in 34 days or two cycles of 17 days. Recipes to keep me on track will follow.
Lastly, I am supposed to do at least 17 minutes of exercise a day and I tried! Really! I played basketball for a total of 4 minutes, quickly winning the first game of Knock Out before getting a hard rebounded ball to the head! Instant severe headache. No more basketball or any other exercise today. There is always tomorrow!
