Breakfast: 0% plain Greek yogurt with dried figs and blueberries, coffee with soy milk.
Lunch: Frittata with squash, zucchini and parmesan cheese (note: frittatas are similar to quiche without the buttery pastry, which I miss but it is better than not having this protein packed lunch), Green Gorilla Smoothie – spinach, pineapple, banana and nectar. I had this yummy, quick lunch while I was driving to do some errands at the best lunch place in Barrington, Blue Kangaroo Cafe.
Snack: Dry Roasted Soybeans – a seriously tasty snack! I found these on a road trip in a tiny section of a service station that had trail mixes, dried fruit and nuts. It is cool that there is a healthy section in almost any store, even convenience ones; you just have to look! I strongly recommend them as a high protein snack that cures a salt craving.
Dinner: Greek grilled chicken salad (again) from the local pizza place since the boys wanted pizza. It is summer so what the heck!
Dessert: Glass of wine with a 1 inch square of dark chocolate. My Hershey adventure left me craving more! Better to have a little than to go crazy some other time!
Ab workout: I am still feeling the effects of my long weekend and am taking another day off. Tomorrow for sure!
